GEORGE POWELL III

 In 2006, George Powell was arrested for the armed robbery of a 7-11 convenience store in Killeen, TX.  Despite a lack of evidence and contradictions in eye witness testimony, Powell was convicted and sentenced to 28 years.  In 2018 George's conviction was vacated. A new trial has been granted and George is hoping to be released on bond very soon. Check out George's case on episode 1 of the Netflix series Exhibit A.
